Aygun Hajiyeva, the head of the department of the National Library has been on business trip from 27 August to 30 August in Russia's Astrakhan Region. She participated in the Caspian littoral Assembly of young professionals organized by the Youth Library named after B.Shakhovski at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Astrakhan Region.

Opening the event, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Astrakhan Region Galina Zoteyeva wished success to the work of the Assembly.

Then, there has been a plenary session with the participation of specialists who joined the event from Azerbaijan National Library, Russian State Library, Russian State Library for Youth, the National Library of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Youth Library.

The chief editor of the "Современная Библиотека" magazine Lyubov Kazacenkova managed the meeting. New forms of library work, application of innovative programs and projects had been discussed in the meeting. Aygun Hajiyeva made a report on “Traditional and electronic fund of Azerbaijan National Library: acquisition and use”

Within the framework of the event, the master class was held on "Library journalism",  and there had been  the awarding ceremony of the regional libraries’ employees. The Assembly concluded its work with the action named “It’s time to read” organized in the A.S.Pushkin park. Book exhibitions of various libraries had been demonstrated in the event in which the governor of the Astrakhan Region also participated.
