An international training on “Development of Virtua program” began its work at the Azerbaijan National Library, on February 19. Director of the Azerbaijan National Library professor Karim Tahirov and the employee of Innovative Interfaces Global Ltd. Jana Ilavska participated in the opening ceremony of the training.
Opening the training, director of the National Library Mr. Karim Tahirov asked the employees to be more active and wished them success.
The training is conducted by Jana Ilavska, the employee of Innovative Interfaces Global Ltd.
The recent developments in Virtua automated library system, the launch of other modules, improvement of modules, book issuance, reader registration, searching systems improvement, arrangement of filters, optimizing indexes, preparation of searching interfaces of periodical articles, bibliographic records improvement, the solution of the problems encountered and other issues are discussed during the training.
The second issue under discussion of training is improvement of electronic library, creation and development of searching system. One of the biggest problems encountered in the use of electronic library is to follow the terms of the law “On copyright and related rights”. For this purpose, the development of a special program is being discussed. The program to be applied to, will provide the electronic documents to be open for use, in terms of protection of copyrights, but copying, downloading and printing of electronic resources will be banned.
So, concerns of numerous readers will be put an end, and the use of electronic library of the Azerbaijan National Library will be expanded.
The employees of the National Library will attend this two-day training.
