An event on the theme of “1 August is the Day of Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani Language” was held in the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F.Akhundov, on August 01, 2016. Opening the event, deputy director of the National Library Adiba Ismayilova spoke about the history of Azerbaijani alphabet and Azerbaijnai language, and talked about the richness of our language. In the event, Mehriban Jafarova, head of the department of the National Library expressed her views on the subject. At the end, participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition opened in the National Library, titled “1 August is the Day of Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani Language”.
