Regarding with the application of new automated library system ALISA program in regions, 10-day courses are organized in the Azerbaijan National Library in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

On August 24, the fifth training has started its work. Specialists of Khizi, Shabran, Shamakhi, Aghsu, Ismayilli, Yardimli, Balaken, Lankaran, Narimanov, Sabail and Khatai Centralized Library Systems will learn MARC 21 format, and will acquire working habits in ALISA.

At the opening ceremony, Karim Tahirov, the director of the National Library noted that the training is held by the specialists of the National Library and Ultra company. He also asked the students to get maximum benefit from the training during 10 days, and recommended them to solve the encountered problems immediately.

On last day, the students will become familiar with the processes occurring in the National Library, and will watch new working methods and new services visually. At the end of the training, students will be awarded with certificates.
