On April 19, a presentation ceremony of the book "Literature that illuminates the path of justice" authored by the prominent Uzbek literary critic Babakhan Sharif was held at the National Library under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis and the National Library.
Director of the National Library Professor Karim Tahirov opened the event and first greeted the guests. He noted that today we gathered at the National Library for a very nice event at the presentation ceremony of the newly published book "Literature that illuminates the path of justice" by the outstanding Uzbek writer Babakhan Sharif, who has invaluable services in deepening Uzbekistan-Azerbaijani literary relations and strengthening friendly relations between Turkic states. The director emphasized that Babakhan Sharif has carried out very important works in establishing friendly relations on the basis of Azerbaijan-Uzbek peoples. Babakhan Sharif is one of the intellectuals who played an important role in the development of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijani literary and scientific relations. Most of his life was related to scientific and literary translation, books and literature. He emphasized that the book "Literature that illuminates the path of justice" is dedicated to the promotion of Azerbaijani literature. During his speech, K. Tahirov expressed his gratitude to Samir Abbasov, director of the Heydar Aliyev Culture Center operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ganira Pashaeva, who closely participated in today's event at the National Library, for their important services in establishing Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan cultural relations.
The deputy of the Milli Majlis, the chairman of the Culture Committee, Ganira khanum Pashayeva said that she was pleased to see the great master and personality Babakhan Sharif in Azerbaijan. He noted that a few years ago, we celebrated Babakhan teacher's 70th anniversary in Azerbaijan. He brought to the attention of the participants that the "Uzbek-Azerbaijani" dictionary was also presented during the anniversary events. Ms. Ganira emphasized that one of the greatest wishes of master Babakhan Sharif was to see Shusha, and he recently visited Shusha and there he organized a small form of the literary meeting held by Khurshidbanu Natavan. During her speech, Ms. Ganira Pashayeva expressed her gratitude to the vice-chairman of the Uzbekistan Writers' Union, Geyrat Majida, who has made great contributions to the establishment of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan cultural relations, and Samir Abbasov, the director of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Finally, Ms. Ganira congratulated Babakhan Sharif on the occasion of his new book and wished him creative success and the publication of his new books.
Samir Abbasov, director of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan said that it is very gratifying that today we have gathered at the National Library for such an event - the presentation ceremony of the book "Literature Illuminating the Path of Justice" authored by Babakhan Sharif. Numerous representatives of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, as well as singers, culture and art figures took part in that event. And we held this event in connection with the declaration of 2022 as the "Year of Shusha" by the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. And we decided to organize a meeting of poets in the whole Turkic world in the future. During his speech, he noted that on the eve of the "Year of Shusha" we held many events in Uzbekistan - friendly concerts, book presentations. He noted that when the Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev started operating in Uzbekistan, its main goal was to promote Azerbaijani literature, and it first translated Nizami Ganjavi's works into Uzbek. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Culture, the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis and the National Library, which helped closely in all these works.
In the continuation of the event, the director of the Turkish Literature Foundation, Serhat Kabakli, the vice-chairman of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, Qeyrat Majid; Rashad Majid, deputy chairman of Azerbaijan Writers' Union, editor-in-chief of "525th newspaper"; Secretary of Azerbaijan Writers' Union Salim Babullaoglu and others spoke.
Furthermore, prominent Uzbek writer Babakhan Sharif spoke and expressed his gratitude to everyone who took the trouble to organize the event.
