On May 20, the next training was started at the Training Center of the National Library of Azerbaijan regarding the implementation of the KOHA Automated Library-Management System for specialists of Baku Centralized Library Systems under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Note that the purpose of the training is to support the implementation of KOHA, an open source, integrated library system with an active, rapidly developing and well-structured codebase, user interface configurable and adaptable, in public libraries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Director of the National Library, professor Karim Tahirov opened the training and greeted the experts. Emphasizing the advantages of the KOHA Automated Library-Management System, the director said that the application of the program in libraries will create an opportunity to use the electronic resource fund of the National Library of Azerbaijan, which includes more than 850 thousand bibliographic records.

A total of 8 specialists from Sumgayit city, Absheron and Khizi district Centralized Library Systems under the Absheron-Khizi Regional Culture Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Lachin and Zangilan Centralized Library Systems under the East Zangezur Regional Culture Department are participating.

The training will continue until May 23.
