On November 4, the pupils of Surakhani district №226 secondary school made an excursion to the National Library, which is related to improving the reading habits of pupils and forming a culture of reading in them.
First of all, the pupils were given detailed information about the history of the National Library, working regime, library fund, scope of activities of the library, library-information service, and new publications. The pupils got acquainted with the building of the National Library and observed the work process.
Then they got acquainted with the books displayed in the exhibition hall of the library. While in the "Rare books and library museum" department of the National Library, they got to know the oldest books preserved in the museum and aroused great interest in them.
Pupils got acquainted with the Open Library operating at the National Library, in particular with the Children's Corner located at it.
At the end, a commemorative photo was taken. Pupils left the National Library with unforgettable pleasant feelings and wished to be readers of the library as students in the future.
