Today is the 100th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Azerbaijan Shafiga Akhundova. Shafiga Akhudova, who is known as the first female opera composer of the East, wrote many instrumental works, "Leyla", "Bəxtiyar ellər (Happy Nations)", "Zəfər marşı (Anthem of Victory)", "Qələbə bizimdir (Victory is ours)", "Ana Vətən (Motherland)" and others. He is the author of songs, "Nə gözəldir (What's beautiful)" and "İn the universe (Jahanda)" to the words of Nizami Ganjavi, and "Fəqan etmək idim" to the words of Muhammad Fuzuli.

In this regard, the staff of the National Library of Azerbaijan prepared a virtual and traditional exhibition called "Shafiqa Akhundova - 100".

In the virtual exhibition, photos related to the topic, articles published in periodicals, books of the composer, notes of the composer's musical works, and eternities about him are displayed in the traditional exhibition.
