December 22 marks the 110th anniversary of Nasir Imanguliyev, Honored journalist who has a special place in the formation of modern Azerbaijani journalism, master editor, pedagogue and socio-political figure.

Nasir Imanguliyev has devoted his life to the development of the Azerbaijani press and culture, meeting the information needs of society and training professional journalists. Prof. Nasir Imanguliyev continued the traditions of our classics such as Hasan bey Zardabi, Mahammad agha Shakhtakhtli, Omar Faig Nemanzadeh, Ali bey Huseynzadeh, Ahmad bey Agayev, Mirza Jalil and Uzeyir Hajibeyli, who laid the foundation and developed journalism in Azerbaijan. Having spent 50 years of his life at the journalism faculty of Baku State University, he played an important role in the formation of a great generation of Azerbaijani journalists, and established his own school of journalism in the history of our national press.

On this occasion, a virtual exhibition entitled “Nasir Imanguliyev – 110” has been prepared by the staff of the National Library of Azerbaijan. The virtual exhibition features books and articles about him, as well as his awards.
