Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, academician, writer Nabi Avci met with Azerbaijani poets and writers at the National Library, on September 27. Opening the event, director of the National Library professor Karim Tahirov greeted the guest. Then the word was given to the Vagif Aliyev – first Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism. He spoke of Nabi’s activities and wished new achievements in his work.

Speakers Nizami Jafarov – director of Ataturk Centre in Azerbaijan, Member of Parliament, correspondent member of ANAS, Ganira Pashayeva – Member of Parliament, Agil Abbas – writer-publicist, Member of Parliament, Parvin – Board member of Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, head of translation division, and etc. talked about cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, promotion of Turkish literature in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani literature in Turkey, and suggested to open Turkish bookstore in Azerbaijan.

Then the word was given to the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, academician, and writer Nabi Avci. He shared his views with Azerbaijani intelligentsia, writers and poets, and thanked to everyone for this meeting.

In the end, “Azerbaijan National Library Photo Album”, “Garabagh singers”, and “Azerbaijani carpets Yerevan group” books were presented to the guest.

Dear guest, in his turn, presented delicately published book “Fatih divanı və şerhi” to Azerbaijan National Library.
