Najaf Bey Vazirov, the outstanding writer and playwright of Azerbaijan, was born on April 2, 1854 in the city of Shusha, Azerbaijan.

Najaf Bey Vazirov played an exceptional role in the development of Azerbaijani dramaturgy, in enriching its idea-aesthetic content, artistic artistic qualities, in the creation and development of the national theater. He closely assisted the national liberation movement with all his social activities and literary creativity, and closely participated in the expansion of the enlightenment movement that turned against the feudal-patriarchal structure in Azerbaijan.

Najaf Bey Vazirov laid the foundation of the genre of tragedy in Azerbaijani literature with his work "Tragedy-Fakhreddin" (1896), which glorifies humanism and high human ideals and holds a special place in the history of our artistic and social thought. He wrote "Yağışdan çıxdıq yağmura düşdük", “Əti sənin, sümüyü mənim”, “Ev tərbiyəsinin bir şəkli”, “Daldan atılan daş topuğa dəyər”, “Sonrakı peşmançılıq fayda verməz”, “Adı var, özü yox”, “Dələduz”, “Vay şələküm-mələküm”, “Pul düşkünü Hacı Fərəc”, “Ağa Kərim xan Ərdəbili”, “Pəhləvani zəmanə”, “Keçmişdə qaçaqlar” and etc. He is the author of valuable works such as At the same time, he cooperated various press pages - "Hayat", "Irshad", "Taza Hayat", "Taraqi", "Yeni irshad", "Sadayihaqq", "Açıq soz" and "Mirat" newspapers.
