Today marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Nakhchivan, the ancient region of Azerbaijan, has historically traveled a complex and at the same time glorious path full of difficult trials. This land with centuries-old traditions of statehood has always kept alive the rich cultural heritage of our people, played an invaluable role in the socio-economic, socio-political life of our country with a large number of outstanding scientists, artists, and historical figures.

The Order of the head of the country "On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" dated December 30, 2023 is an indication that Nakhchivan occupies an important place in the rich history of statehood and in the development of our country.

On this occasion, a large book exhibition called "Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic -100" was organized in the National Library of Azerbaijan.

The exhibition includes official documents, socio-economic and cultural development of Heydar Aliyev and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, history, archeology, folklore examples, nature, literary environment, historical figures, intellectuals, etc. of Nakhchivan. Also, in 2020, literature in Azerbaijani and other languages ​​about the heroism of brave sons during the 44-day Patriotic War is displayed.
