On February 23, a book on the 160th anniversary of the birth of Ali Bey Huseynzade, a prominent representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani public opinion, a great herald of the ideology of Turkism, a well-known writer, publicist, educator, artist and medical scientist, was published in the National Library under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library. the opening ceremony of the exhibition was held. The opening ceremony was attended by Saadat Khanum Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Akif Marifli, Head of the Book Industry Department of the Ministry of Culture, and well-known figures of science and culture.

Adiba Ismayilova, Ph.D. in History, Deputy Director of Scientific Affairs and Library-Information Service of the National Library opened the event by welcoming the guests and noted that the personalities who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries appreciated the activities of Ali Bey Huseynzade and called him "the father of Caucasian Muslims". Ali Bey Mirza Fatali Akhundzade, Hasan Bey Zardabi continued the ideas of enlightenment and while working in "Hayat" newspaper, he wrote "Who are the Turks", "We are not Tats, we are Turks" etc. about Turkism. He pointed out that he has published a wide range of articles. Adiba Ismayilova said that the ideas of Ali Bey Huseynzade are always modern and resonate with today.

Ms. Saadat Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan welcomed the event participants and described Ali Bey Huseynzade as a person who has exceptional service in the national self-awareness of Azerbaijan and the Turkic world as a whole, and in the formation of the Turkic world. He added that Ali Bey Huseynzade was a great thinker of the time, he laid the foundation of the ideology of Azerbaijan and Turkism at the beginning of the 20th century by combining the ideas of modernization born of European philosophy.

The editor-in-chief of Adabiyyat newspaper, doctor of philosophy in philology, Azer Turan noted that Ali bey Huseynzade is the founder of modern modern painting, the creator of the romantic trend in Azerbaijani literature, and at the same time, he is the man behind the curtain who answered the question "Who are the Turks and who do they consist of" for the first time in the Turkic world.

In his speech, the head of the department of early realism and modern Azerbaijani literature, doctor of philology, Professor Islam Gharibli of the Institute of Literature talked about the literary, artistic and scientific articles published by Ali Bey Huseynzade in the collection "Fuyuzat". He noted that Ali Bey Huseynzade was a great politician, journalist, ideologue, philosopher, poet, translator, and doctor who knew Russian, European, German and Turkish literature perfectly and talked about the rich and multifaceted activity of the writer.

Elnara Akimova, head of the "Children's literature" department at the Nizami Institute of Literature, doctor of philological sciences, associate professor, speaking about Ali Bey Huseynzade's publicism, noted that Ali Bey was also a champion and fighter in the field of children's literature. In the "Saadat" school, which was founded in 1908, he brought to mind the children's literature textbooks and native language books, what reading patterns should be, and what he has revealed in his articles. Elnara Akimova added that today on the way to the Zangezur corridor, only the ideas of Ali Bey Huseynzade can enlighten us.

Aytan Imanova, a senior researcher of the "Research of Personal Archives" department of the Institute of Manuscripts, touched on Ali Bey Huseynzade's political activity and talked about Ali Bey's introduction of European literature to the Istanbul Student Society.
