On February 27, another lesson of the one-year political school of the Sabail regional organization of the New Azerbaijan Party was held at the National Library to study the scientific and political heritage of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. It should be noted that the event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The participants of the event were informed that in 1995-1997 the Great Leader visited the National Library four times and during the first visit donated about 300 books from his personal library to the library. It was noted that the project of the National Library "Let's go to Karabakh with a book", which started in 2020, is a continuation of the tradition founded by Heydar Aliyev. The attention and concern of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to culture, books and libraries was also emphasized.

Highly appreciating the contribution of the Great Leader to the development of librarianship in Azerbaijan during the period of independence, especially to the restructuring of the activities of the National Library in accordance with the requirements of the modern era, the library staff created a corner dedicated to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

At the end, a discussion was held and answers were given to questions of interest to the participants.
