On February 2, an event related to Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at the National Library. This significant historical day is associated with the name of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, who always treats young people with great attention and care, who attaches special importance to the measures implemented in the direction of solving their problems, and who values this policy as one of the most important directions of the activity of the independent Azerbaijan state. Today, youth policy in our country is experiencing a new phase in terms of substance and quality. President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the youth policy of the Great Leader. It was thanks to the youth of Azerbaijan that the Azerbaijani  Army freed our lands from occupation.

During the event, the role of libraries in the growth and development of young people was also specially mentioned.

In the continuation of the event, members of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, young writers, reporter of "Khalq" newspaper, editor of "Yeni Azerbaijan" newspaper Rizvan Fikretoglu, and President's pensioner, member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, editor of "ARB" TV channel Saddam Lachin spoke and recited their poems. Young writers were given books by the National Library.
