A traditional book exhibition was organized in the National Library on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of the birth of the prominent poet and publicist Samad Mansur and the 100th anniversary of the honored artist Ali Tude.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Samad Mansur, who was considered one of the outstanding representatives of Azerbaijani poetry, was one of the artists known for his unique artistic style, sharp criticism, active and courageous intervention in public life. He worked as a talented poet, an amateur actor, a skilled translator, a public figure, and worked tirelessly for the development of national culture. Lyrical and satirical works, artistic publicism are the expression of his social and philosophical views, the literary pages of his meaningful and meaningful life.
Samad Mansur's creativity was closely related to his personality. His literary attitude to social reality did not differ from the poet's position in life. He acted as a supporter of truth both in his works and in life.
Ali Tude is one of the founders of South Azerbaijan Democratic literature. Along with his socio-political activities, the poet skillfully uses the power of his pen to preserve the achievements of the revolution. Ali, who turned his creativity, high convictions and progressive ideas into a torch in the ways of struggle, was given the nickname "Tude" by the sages at the poets' assembly of Tabriz. The national government awarded him with the highest award "21 Azer" medal.
The exhibition presents works of famous poets, literature in Azerbaijani and foreign languages, about their life and creativity.
