This year marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of the prominent social and political figure, one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, Chairman of the Azerbaijan National Council, Muhammad Amin Rasulzadeh.
Muhammad Amin Rasulzadeh is one of the personalities who rendered great services to the realization of the ideal of independence and the revival of the national state structure in Azerbaijan in the geopolitical crisis in the first decades of the 20th century. His ideology of independence took its source from the idea of national freedom rooted in the centuries-old memory of his native people. Mohammad Amin Rasulzade's brilliant journalistic, political, literary-critical and scientific legacy, which became the chronicle of the era, occupies a special place in the history of public opinion of Azerbaijan. For many years, he lived and fought with the dream of an independent Azerbaijan even in emigration.
Azerbaijani people who regained state independence at the end of the 20th century, proved that the national flag did not land on the ground, but on the conscience of the nation, as M.A. Rasulzade believed, and that everyone protects this flag in their souls, hearts and hearts.
On the occasion of the 140th anniversary, the employers of the National Library prepared a virtual and traditional exhibition called "Mohammed Amin Rasulzadeh-140". In the virtual exhibition, the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, photos, articles published on the pages of periodicals, books written about him, and works preserved in the collection of the National Library, literature related to his social and political activities are displayed in Azerbaijani and other languages.
