On August 25, 2023, an event called "August 26 Lachin City Day" was held at the National Library of Azerbaijan.

Director of the National Library, professor Karim Tahirov greeted the event participants and talked about the glorious victory won 2 years ago in the history of statehood. He informed the participants of the event about the liberation of our lands under enemy occupation for 30 years by the glorious Azerbaijani soldier under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. The director emphasized the visits made by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the lands freed from occupation after the Victory Day. During the event, he noted the construction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation by the president's instructions. During his speech, Professor Karim Tahirov talked about the "Let's go to Karabakh with a book" project and informed the participants that 150,000 books had been collected. The speaker drew attention to the importance of establishing city days in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated July 31, 2023.

The director congratulated the event participants on the occasion of Lachin City Day. At the end, there was an introduction to the exhibition.
