The state youth policy established by national leader Heydar Aliyev has left deep traces in the development of Azerbaijani youth. According to the Order signed by the Great Leader on February 2, 1997, February 2 was announced as Azerbaijan Youth Day. Since then, this day has been solemnly celebrated in Azerbaijan for the first time in the CIS and Eastern European countries. As in many fields, Azerbaijan has surpassed many countries in this field as well. Thus, long after the establishment of Youth Day in Azerbaijan, on the basis of the recommendation of the World Conference of Ministers on Youth Affairs, August 12 was declared International Youth Day by UN General Assembly Resolution No. 54/120 dated December 17, 1999.
It can be said with full confidence that all the necessary measures implemented to solve the problems of the young generation in our country, to ensure their participation as a worthy class in the life of society, will lead the youth of Azerbaijan to a brighter tomorrow.
A virtual exhibition called "February 2 Azerbaijan Youth Day" was prepared by the employees of the National Library.
Official documents, photos, articles published in periodicals and books on the subject are displayed in the virtual exhibition.
