On June 29, Aygun Kochak, head of the Scientific Research and Methodological Support Department of the National Library of Azerbaijan, and Shahla Naghiyeva, head of the Protection of the Collections and Information Resources Department.

They took part in the international conference of CIS librarians called "Cultural and natural heritage of the Commonwealth of Nations: the role and place of libraries" within the framework of the interstate program "Karakol - the cultural capital of the Union in 2022" held in the city of Karakol of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Nurjan Imankulova, director of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Alikul Osmonov, opened the conference with an introductory speech, greeted the participants and wished success to the work of the conference. He gave a speech entitled "Libraries of Kyrgyzstan in the system of environmental education and promotion of cultural values".

Later, employees of the Russian State Library, the Russian Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin, the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M. I. Rudomino, the Children and Youth Regional Library of West Kazakhstan named after Hamza Esenjanov, the Issyk-Kul Regional Library named after T. Sidikbekovn participated with different topics.

Aygün Kochak, head of the Department of Scientific Research and Methodology of the National Library of Azerbaijan, delivered a report and presentation entitled "The role of the National Library of Azerbaijan in the formation of the ecological culture of the population".
