This year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Ahmad Javad, a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, great poet, well-known educator and public figure. On this occasion, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, signed an Order on the celebration of the 130th anniversary of Ahmad Javad.

The world of artistic and political ideas of Ahmad Javad, who is known in the literary environment and the general public, as well as the most brilliant poet of the republic period, is as rich as the nature and love lyrics. His activities and position in the field of Azerbaijan's independence and state establishment are characterized by the creation of bright examples of our new romantic and civic poetry. Ahmad Javad was loved as the national poet of Azerbaijani Turks and the Turkic world from the first days he joined the world of poetry and art.

The strong idea of Ahmad Javad's poetry was related to freedom and independence. His poems of 1918 were mainly dedicated to freedom and the successes of the first Azerbaijan Republic. The topic of Azerbaijan and motherland was discussed for the first time in the person of A. Javad.

The great poet Ahmad Javad remained faithful to the ideas of national independence until the end of his life, and became the right voice of a country whose rights were trampled upon. Persecution and torture in prison could not break his will. He never betrayed his people and his pen. Ahmad Javad will never be erased from our memories as a great poet of Azerbaijan's independence, as a patriot who was loyal to the freedom of Azerbaijan until his last breath and was martyred on this path and will live forever.
