Today is the birthday of Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

When the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was first elected President in 2003, he pursued a consistent policy both internationally and domestically to achieve the great goals he had set, upholding the values of statehood defined by National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Under the leadership of our President, our country has come a long way in a short period of time and achieved great success. The victorious Azerbaijani Army liberated Azerbaijani territories from Armenian occupation within 44 days starting from September 27, 2020, under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Our tricolor flag is now flying in our lands liberated after 30 years.

The social policy pursued in our country serves to improve the living standards of every citizen and strengthen Azerbaijan's position as a social state.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of our esteemed President, the staff of the National Library of Azerbaijan has prepared a virtual exhibition entitled “Ilham Aliyev – President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” The virtual exhibition features Ilham Aliyev’s speeches, as well as books, photos and articles about him.
