The Turkic world has written bright pages in the history of human civilization with its ancient and magnificent culture. TURKSOY has rendered admirable services in the preservation of the all-Turkish cultural heritage, distinguished by its unparalleled wealth, and in conveying this wealth to future generations and introducing it to the world.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the International Organization of Turkish Culture - TURKSOY. On July 12, 1993, at a meeting held in Almaty with the participation of the ministers of culture of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye and Turkmenistan, an agreement was signed on the establishment of the "Joint Management of Turkish Culture and Arts" (TURKSOY). Since 2009, the institution has been called the International Organization of Turkish Culture. The secretariat of the organization is located in Ankara (Türkiye).

  Azerbaijan has always expressed its support for TURKSOY and has tried to expand the cultural integration of Turkic-speaking countries. The announcement of the city of Shusha as the "cultural capital of the Turkic world" in 2023, the holding of the 1st Turkic World Cultural Forum and "TURKSOY Culture Days" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, are indicators of our joint efforts in this direction.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of TURKSOY, the staff of the National Library prepared an electronic database called "International Turkish Culture Organization". The electronic database consists of "About", "About TURKSOY celebrities", "Members", "Publications", "Articles", "Photo gallery", "Video gallery" sections.

Also, a traditional book exhibition called "Literature of the Turkic world (dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of TURKSOY)" was opened in the National Library of Azerbaijan.

Books of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, publications of TURKSOY from 6 countries that are members of TURKSOY from the fund of the National Library are displayed at the exhibition.
