Nargiz Arif gizi Pashayeva was born on December 13, 1962 in Baku. In 1968-1978, she studied at the secondary music school named after Bulbul. In 1978, she entered the full-time department of the Faculty of Philology of BSU, and in 1983 she graduated from that faculty with an honors diploma.
In 1983, he was admitted to full-time post-graduate studies, and on September 23, 1987, after defending his thesis entitled "Sabir's innovation", he received the degree of candidate of philological sciences.
From March 1987, she worked as an assistant, teacher, head teacher, docent at the "History of Azerbaijan Literature" department of the Philology Faculty of Baku State University, and in 1994-2008, he worked as the head of the "Language and Literature" department of the Baku Music Academy.
In 2004, she defended his doctoral dissertation "Artistic-aesthetic perception of man in modern Azerbaijani literature (based on the works of the people's writer Elchi)", on February 11, 2005, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philological Sciences, and on March 30, 2005, she was awarded the scientific title of professor. .
In 2006-2008, she worked as vice-rector for international relations at Baku State University.
