On October 23, Pakistani author Munawwar Ahmad visited Azerbaijan National Library. Director of the National Library prof. KarimTahirov received the guest. Munawwar Ahmad, who has visited our country several times, emphasized his love for Baku and especially stressed the hospitality of the Azerbaijani people.

Munawwar Ahmad noted that he had donated his book of children poems to the National Library during his previous visit. While in that visit he donated a book named “Urdu Azerbaijani common heritage” consisting of words commonly used both in Azerbaijani and Urdu. The author, mentioning that the book was loved in Pakistan very much and he’s the first person to write a book on that subject, donated a copy of the book to the director of the National Library prof. KarimTahirov. Director KarimTahirov thanked him and noted that the book will take its worthy place among the books in the National Library. He also presented “Azerbaijan National Library. Photo album” book published in three languages about the National Library and a souvenir of the Maiden tower, the symbol of Baku, to the guest.

In the end, the author noted that he will donate his new book to be published soon in English to the National Library.
