Today marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the International Organization of Turkish Culture - TURKSOY. On July 12, 1993, at a meeting held in Almaty with the participation of the ministers of culture of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan, an agreement was signed on the establishment of the "Joint Management of Turkish Culture and Arts" (TURKSOY). Since 2009, the institution has been called the International Organization of Turkish Culture. The secretariat of the organization is located in Ankara (Turkey).
The International Organization of Turkish Culture is an international organization that unites the cultural efforts of Turkic-speaking countries. At various stages of history, the life of the Turkish peoples has encountered various wars, battles, and aggressions that sometimes even threaten their existence. However, the rich roots of the Turkish peoples, which have passed through the depths of the great history, and their spiritual attachment to each other, have steadfastly overcome all these stages and brought them to the present day. Throughout history, these peoples have shown their talent, knowledge, and skills in all areas of human life, they have created bright pages with their scientific inventions, examples of heroism, great historical-architectural monuments and valuable works of art, and their music.
On this occasion, a virtual exhibition called "TURKSOY - 30" was prepared by the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan. Photos, books and articles related to the topic are displayed in the virtual exhibition.
