Historically, Shusha, which is one of the important centers of the historical, cultural, social and political life of Azerbaijan, has been declared the "Cultural capital of the turkish world" for 2023. The decision to this effect was made at the extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkish Culture - TURKSOY, held on March 31 in Bursa, Turkey. The declaration of Shusha as the "Cultural Capital of the Turkish World" by TURKSOY for 2023 is an indication of the attention of the Turkish-Islamic world to the cultural richness of the ancient city of Azerbaijan.
As a result of the Victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War, life in Shusha began to revive again. Today, restoration works are being successfully continued in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, our charming corner. In the city of Shusha, which has an important historical and cultural significance and an exceptional spiritual value for our people, a number of large-scale projects on the restoration of historical and cultural monuments are being implemented, the past traditions of Shusha are being restored, and cultural and mass events and international conferences are held in this ancient city.
