On October 18, book exhibition entitled “18 October is the State Independence Day” was organized at the National Library on the occasion of 28^th anniversary of the restoration of the State Independence of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event, Deputy Director of the National Library Adiba Ismayilova gave detailed information about the history of the state independence of Azerbaijan. In her speech, Adiba Ismayilova said that thanks to the far-sighted policy and high management skills of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the independent Republic of Azerbaijan became one of the most powerful countries in the world, both politically and economically. Azerbaijan is among the most influential states in the world. She also mentioned that political activities of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the ideas of Azerbaijaniism are duly continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The exhibition features books and periodicals in Azerbaijani, Russian, English and other languages about the state independence of Azerbaijan and contributions of the great leader Heydar Aliyev to the state building.

In the end, the participants of the event viewed the exhibition.

The exhibition will last a week.
