June 1 is International Children's Day. As in most countries of the world, this day is also celebrated in Azerbaijan.

On June 1, 1950, the UN General Assembly decided to celebrate International Children's Day.

In Azerbaijan, many works have been done in the direction of protecting and caring for children. Issues related to the social and legal protection of children in our country are regulated by the Constitution, legislative and normative-legal acts. A legislative framework has been formed in Azerbaijan regarding the protection of children's rights, the law "On Children's Rights" and some other legal acts have been adopted.

On the occasion of "International Day of Children's Protection", a virtual exhibition called "June 1 - International Day of Children's Protection" was prepared by the staff of the National Library of Azerbaijan named after M.F.
