In the National Library, a presentation ceremony of the books "The Way to Victory", " Homesickness in a teardrop " and " Yearning for Lachin " authored by Irada Alili (Aliyeva), a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, was held.

The presentation ceremony of books was held on March 30, under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library, on the topic of Karabakh, named "The way to victory", "Homesickness in a teardrop", "Yearning for Lachin" which was written by Irada Alili (Aliyeva), the chairman of the Public Union "Support for the Development of Vocational Education", a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, a presidential scholarship holder.

Director of the National Library, professor Karim Tahirov opened the event and greeted the participants. During his speech, he said that tomorrow is a historical day - March 31 - the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis. In this regard, first of all, the memory of the genocide victims was commemorated with a minute of silence. On the eve of this historic day, we are presenting the books on the topic of Karabakh named The way to victory", "Homesickness in a teardrop", "Yearning for Lachin" written by Irada Alili. The director emphasized that the people of Azerbaijan have been waiting these days for almost 30 years-waited for the victory. The people of Azerbaijan and our glorious army won a great Victory in the 44-day Karabakh War II under the decisive leadership of the Supreme Commander Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Giving information about the presented books, the director emphasized that all three books contain information about Karabakh, its history, geographical area, National Heroes, Martyrs, and Veterans. Emphasizing the importance of publishing a book in foreign languages, the director noted that we most often feel the need for books about the history of our country published in different languages during exhibitions and events held abroad. At the end of his speech, K. Tahirov said that it is our civic duty to publish and present books on this topic.

Bilal Haye, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, made a speech and first of all expressed his gratitude to the management of the National Library for participating in such a wonderful event. He noted that as a Pakistani, it is very pleasant to be among Azerbaijanis. He spoke about the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He said that during the 44-day Karabakh War II, the brotherly Pakistani people and authorities always stood by Azerbaijan and showed their political and moral support. Our support to Azerbaijan was on an international basis, because Azerbaijan was defending its legal territory. In his speech, the ambassador emphasized that I am not a writer, but I am very happy that such books are prepared and published. Advances in technology have reduced the need for books in our modern era, and it is very significant to have such important publications in this era. In the end, the Ambassador congratulated Irada Alili on the publication of the books.

Huseyn Buyukfirat, director of the Public Union of Turkey and Azerbaijan Businessmen (TÜIB), said in his speech that as Mr. Ambassador emphasized, Turkey and Pakistan were always with brother Azerbaijan during the 44-day Karabakh war. He noted that since the beginning of the war, I have always emphasized in my speeches that we are indebted to our martyrs and veterans for the victory, and we should never forget their determination.

The head of the Romanian Cultural Center, Iosefina Batto, spoke and said that she was happy to participate in the event held today. She congratulated Irada Alili on the occasion of her books being translated into different languages. She emphasized that she was very happy to witness the Victory in the Second Karabakh War. She talked about the project of translation of Irada Alili's book about Khojaly into Romanian.

Banovsha Mammadova, the dean of the Faculty of Translation of ASU, gave a speech and first of all conveyed the greetings of Rector Kamal Abdullah. He noted that Irada  Alili's book dedicated to Khojaly is planned to be published in Spanish, Italian, and French languages.

In the continuation of the event, Ramiz Amirli, the chairman of the Hungarian-Azeri Joint Society; Professor Graham Smith; Azade Novruzova, an employee of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan; TV presenter Nurana Guler; Ikram Safaraliyev, the son of martyr Bahman Safaraliyev; Karabakh veteran Rukhsara Jumayeva and others spoke about the importance of the subject of the book.

Irada Alili, chairman of the "Support for the Development of Vocational Education" Public Union, member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, President's scholarship, expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library for organizing the event. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the printing of the books.

At the end, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition of books authored by Irada Alili, which is in the National Library's collection.
