On October 2, prominent Kazakh poet, writer and public figure OlzhasSuleimanov visited the National Library. Director of the National Library prof. KarimTahirov expressed his satisfaction with the visit ofthe legendary writer to the National Library, and added that the works of OlzhasSuleimanov are always welcomed and highly appreciated by Azerbaijani reader.KarimTahirovalso mentioned that opening ceremonies of “International cooperation hall” and the exhibition “Nasimi manuscripts in the world libraries” were held at the National Library with the participation of LeylaAliyeva, Vice-President of HeydarAliyevFoundation and AbulfasGarayev, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, within the framework of VI Baku International Book Fair held on September 27-29. Diplomatic representatives and library heads of the 13 countries attended the opening of “International cooperation hall”. One of those countries is Kazakhstan.

OlzhasSuleimanov, in his turn, expressed his pleasure for visiting the National Library and, spoke about his love for Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis.

Director of the National Library prof. KarimTahirov presented to the writer “Azerbaijan National Library. Photo album” (in 3 languages) and “Maiden Tower” books, and OlzhasSuleimanov’s “Az-Ya” book published by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Then, outstanding writer donated his signed books to the National Library.

At the end, a photo was taken with the well-known writer OlzhasSuleimanov.
