On February 27, the 120^th anniversary celebration of Shusha city library was held at the National Library.

At first, there was held the opening ceremony of photo and book exhibition on the history, culture and prominent personalities of Shusha.

Then a five-minute video clip about Shusha city was shown.

Opening the event, director of the National Library professor Karim Tahirov congratulated his colleagues on the occasion of that holiday, and wished to celebrate that holiday in Karabakh the following year.

Then the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Mr. Abulfas Garayev expressed his best wishes to the library staff, and awarded a number of employees of Shusha Centralized Library System with the “Honorary cultural worker” badge and honorary diplomas of the Ministry on the occasion of the 120^th anniversary of Shusha city Library.

In his speech the head of Shusha Executive Power Bayram Safarov wished good luck to the employees of the library.

Head of Shusha Centralized Library System Gulsara Abbasova gave brief information about the activities of Shusha city Library and current activities of its successor Shusha CLS.

The speakers Elman Mammadov – the Member of Parliament, and others congratulated the staff of the library and wished them success.

The event was concluded with mugham performance of the pupils of Shusha Musical School.
