Director of Azerbaijan National Library Prof.Karim Tahirov participates in the 36th CENL AGM held in the Presidential Library, Ankara. CENL (Conference of European National Librarians) is a network of 46 national libraries in 45 European countries. The meeting, hosted by a different country every year, is held at the Presidential Library of Turkey this year. CENL Chair Frank Scholze welcomed the participants and thanked to all the staff who contributed to the high level of organization of the conference.

Then, Director of the National Library of Turkey Ali Odabash greeted all participants and wished success to the conference.

President of IFLA Barbara Lison deliver a speech on “The Relevance of National Libraries for Society”.

At the end of the conference, all CENL members took a group photo.

The conference will continue tomorrow.

The conference will be hosted by the National Library of France next year.
