Within the framework of “Ganja – 2016 European Youth Capital” project, Azerbaijan-Russia scientific-practical conference named “Youth – Innovations – Libraries” was held by the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republican Youth Library named after J.Jabbarli, and Ganja Executive Power, on November 2.

Speaking about the current issues in the field of library-information, employees from Russian Federation Krasnoyarsk Province Minusinsk city Library named after A.T.Cherkasov, Moscow city Library-reading hall named after I.S.Turgenev, Moscow State Institute of Culture, Leningrad province Tikhvin city “Teffy” library – socio-cultural centre, Vladimir province Bogolubov local library of Suzdal CLS and others shared their experiences with the participants at the conference held at Mahsati Ganjavi Centre in Ganja.

From Azerbaijan, specialists of Azerbaijan National Library, Republican Youth Library named after J.Jabbarli, Republican Children Library named after F.Kocharli, Ganja CLS, Sabirabad CLS, Astara CLS, Sabunchu CLS, and Binagadi CLS specialists participated in the event.

The conference was attended by the Deputy Director for Services affairs of Azerbaijan National Library Adiba Ismayilova, and head of Library studies and scientific-research department Aygun Hajiyeva. Adiba Ismayilova delivered a lecture on “The role of the National Library in formation of reading literacy in youth”.
