July 30 is the World Day Against Human Trafficking. In order to raise awareness about the essence of human trafficking, and to focus the attention of the international community on the problems faced by the victims, according to the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly dated December 18, 2013, July 30 is held annually as the International Day against Human Trafficking.
Today, one of the struggles carried out by the state in most developed countries of the world is the fight against human trafficking. It should be noted that the fight against human trafficking has become widespread in our country.
In this regard, a legal and normative framework has been defined in our republic. According to the relevant decree of the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the "National Action Plan for the fight against human trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2024" was approved.
On the occasion of July 30 - World Day Against Human Trafficking, a virtual exhibition of the same name was prepared by the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan named after M.F. Akhundzade. The virtual exhibition displays photos, books, and articles related to the topic.
