"Teknofest" is the biggest aviation, space and technology festival in Turkey. The event is organized by "Turkey Technology Team" - T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey every year since 2018. For the first time, the festival was held outside Turkey - in Azerbaijan.

Holding of "Teknofest-2022" in Azerbaijan is a clear example of the brotherhood and alliance between the two countries. The festival includes entertainment with various competitions, exhibitions, cultural programs, strengthens relations between the two countries in the field of aviation, space and technology, and creates conditions for the cooperation of organizations and institutions operating in this field. This festival is a message of Azerbaijan and Turkey stepping into the future together.

On 28 May, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the first "TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan" Aerospace and Technology Festival held in Baku.

Welcoming the guests, our head of state emphasized the support of the brotherly state in achieving and protecting our state independence in his speech.

One hundred and four years ago in the Muslim world, the people of Azerbaijan established the first Democratic  Republic. Unfortunately, the life of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was not long, it collapsed after two years and Azerbaijan lost its independence. Azerbaijan's state independence was restored only in the early 1990s and the people of Azerbaijan have been living freely for 30 years,lives independently, builds their own life and confidently walks the path of independence. Our Turkish brothers have always been by our side during these 30 years. For 30 years, we have always felt this support, this fraternal support, we still feel it today, and Turkey-Azerbaijan is still together. Our history is bright and we were together in the most important moments of our history. I remember, in the military parade dedicated to the liberation of Baku from the Armenian occupation, Turkish and Azerbaijani soldiers came shoulder to shoulder to Azadlig Square. We saw a repetition of this in the Victory parade in 2020. After our historical victory, together with my dear brother, we received the military parade of the Turkish and Azerbaijani armies in Azadlig Square. It was a celebration of our union. This was a clear message to the whole world that we are together, we will be together, and our strength will grow day by day."

The friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey were once again confirmed by the Shusha Declaration of Union. Formed in the image and likeness of the heads of our states, the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood is currently continuing with great success. It is very significant to include issues related to defense cooperation and mutual military assistance in the declaration. This shows that our countries will always be together and contribute to each other's security. Of course, it is very important to study mutual military experience. At the same time, expansion of cooperation in the field of defense industry is among the issues reflected in the document. With this, relations between our countries in the field of defense industry will further develop. The Shusha Declaration, presented by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has become another demonstration of the friendship of these two fraternal, friendly states to the world. The President emphasized this in his speech: "Last year, on June 15 - the National Liberation Day, the respected President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in Shusha. This was a very significant event. June 15 is also a public holiday, May 28 is also a public holiday. We celebrated these holidays together, and by signing the historical Shusha Declaration, Turkey and Azerbaijan officially reached the summit of alliance. This union manifests itself everywhere - in politics, economic relations, the implementation of energy and transport projects, culture, education, in the direction of building an army. Today TEKNOFEST is another demonstration of our unity, its manifestation. TEKNOFEST" is a festival of science, development, knowledge and technology. I am sure that the young people who took part in TEKNOFEST will remember this historic day forever. The young people of Turkey and Azerbaijan, who have been together for several days, have already become close as a family, got to know each other, and I am sure that they will always be together in the future.”

Our head of state presented Aziz Sanjari who is the great son of the Turkish world, the world-famous scientist, the Nobel Prize laureate, as the honored guest of "TEKNOFEST", and stated: "I remember my meeting with Mr. Aziz, he told me that he always had a big dream - to go to Shusha. After meeting with me, he went to Shusha and said that I have already achieved what I wanted to achieve in life - I also saw Shusha. It also made us very happy. People like Aziz Sanjar are an example for young people - a scientist, a citizen, a Turkic person, and a patriot. Young people should try to be like Aziz Bey."

During the Patriotic War, Turkey did not leave Azerbaijan alone at the diplomatic level, informational struggle and moral support. A clear expression of this opinion is the fact that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) produced by the Baikar company, which have a substantial  impact on the armament of the Azerbaijan Army, significantly enhance our military potential. As an important fact, it should also be noted the effective use of these UAVs in the Patriotic War, inflicting a serious blow on the enemy and destroying a large number of manpower and military equipment of the invaders.

The president, who sincerely greeted Selchuk Bayraktar at the festival, continued: "Selchuk bey is not only the organizer and initiator of "TEKNOFEST", Selchuk bey and the Bayraktar family are a very famous family in the world. There is no one in the world who would not know about the role of the famous Bayraktar UAVs in the second Karabakh war. Mr. Selcuk was in Shusha yesterday. I am sure that when he saw Shusha, he was once again convinced that Azerbaijan and Turkey are ready and able to fulfill any task facing them. Our people are always selflessly ready for every step to defend and ensure their national pride. Mr. Selchuk is also a great role model for young people. I am sure that our young people will try to be like Mr. Selchuk”. By the way, President Ilham Aliyev awarded the Selchuk Bayraktar with the "Karabakh" order for his contribution to the strengthening of fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the development of cooperation, and the right work in the direction of ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our republic.

Friendly and fraternal relations, built by great leader Heydar Aliyev on a solid foundation, are today a priority of the political line of President Ilham Aliyev. The words of the President of the fraternal country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, "Azerbaijan's joy is our joy, its pride is our land, its pain, and problem are our problems, if Azerbaijan is sad, we will be sad, if Azerbaijan is happy, we will be happy" gives pride and honor to each of us. In his speech, President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Turkey are the closest countries to each other on a global scale and these countries have successfully passed great trials: "And out of modesty, I think there are two more examples today - my brother and me. We are moving our countries forward through independence. I have said many times that the growing power of Turkey strengthens us, and we have become a power center of great global importance by adding strength to each other”. In a word, relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which are an example for the whole world and are constantly strengthening, and developing, its high level indicates the strength and unbreakability of comprehensive relationships. In this regard, the recent visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will create conditions for further deepening of relations between the two countries, and will be important in terms of ensuring regional development and security.

President Ilham Aliyev also said that he was sure that Azerbaijan and Turkey would always be close and would be glad for each other's successes.

Long live Turkey-Azerbaijan unity and brotherhood! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
