Today marks the 90th anniversary of the great composer of our time, People’s Artist, professor of Baku Music Academy named after UzeyirHajibeyli, and the “Glory” Order-awardedTofigBakikhanov. TofigBakikhanov has given countless masterpieces to Azerbaijani music and art with. Along with symphonicmughams “Nava”, “Humayun”, “Rahab”, “Shahnaz” and “Dugah”, his other works have a special place in the history of our music culture. The composer’s works have always been welcomed with great sympathy not only in Azerbaijan, but also in many countries around the world.

On this occasion, the staff of the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F.Akhundzadeh has prepared a virtual exhibition named “Prominent Composer TofigBakikhanov”. The virtual exhibition features books and articles about life and work of the great composer, photos, as well as thoughts of prominent personalities about the composer.
