May 5 is marked as the Day of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities since 1992, by the decision of the UN General Assembly.
Today, rehabilitation and integration of persons with disabilities into society is considered to be very important and topical issue. Therefore, international associations come together in order to expand their activities in this field, and try to find ways of solving the universal problem together.
The wider community should be involved in the solution of the return of disabled to a healthy life, and care for them should become the moral duty of everyone.
The virtual exhibition “International Day of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” prepared by the staff of the National Library is dedicated to this topic. The exhibition features documents and photos on the day of the rights of persons with disabilities, their integration into society, as well as measures carried out in this direction.
