Ambassador of Romania in the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Dan Iancu had been at the National Library on November 4. Director of the library professor Karim Tahirov received the guest.

During the meeting, it was noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Romania were built on solid foundation, on the principles of mutual friendship and partnership, and also the necessity of expanding relations between the national libraries was stressed during  the meeting.

The Ambassador noted that he was newly appointed to our country, and he would contribute to the further strengthening of relations between the national libraries of those two countries.

Familiarizing the Ambassador with the library, deputy director Adiba Ismayilova also familiarized him with the new project of the library – Open Library. The Ambassador liked the “Open Library”, and noted that it was a very interesting and significant project, then, he wrote his wishes on the “Memory book”.

Azerbaijan National Library “Photo Album” (in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages), the map of cultural objects, and “Azerbaijani literature” books were presented to the guest.
