October 25 is celebrated as the day of Gubadli city in Azerbaijan.

As a result of the military aggression of Armenia, our ancient historical lands, which were under occupation for nearly 30 years, were freed from military and political occupation in the 44-day Patriotic War, and every day leading to the glorious Victory was written in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan.

According to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated July 31, 2023 on perpetuating the historical victory achieved in the Patriotic War and establishing the days of liberated cities, October 25 is celebrated as "The Day of Gubadli City ". The establishment of this significant day is related to the history of the liberation of the Gubadli city by the Victorious Azerbaijani army from the occupation of the Armenian armed forces.

On this occasion, the staff of the National Library prepared a virtual and traditional exhibition called "The Day of Gubadli City ".
