On November 15, the presentation of the "Return of our national moral values ​​to the homeland" project, a joint project of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library, was held in the "Shusha" presentation area of ​​the Baku Expo Center.

The director of the National Library, professor Karim Tahirov, opened the event with an introductory speech, saying that national moral values ​​belonging to the people of Azerbaijan are preserved in the libraries and museums of the world. In his speech, the speaker noted that the presentation of the project took place at the National Library in 2019 with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the participation of representatives of 21 countries.

Akif Marifli, head of the book industry department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said in his speech that most of the facsimiles of the manuscripts of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, which are in world libraries, are in the collection of the National Library and wished the library success in its future activities.

Also, the electronic database "Azerbaijani manuscripts in world libraries" was presented to the guests. During the presentation, information was given about the manuscripts of Nizami Ganjavi, Nasireddin Tusi, Imadedin Nasimi, Muhammad Fuzuli and other writers preserved in the libraries of the world and Azerbaijan.
