Today Ziyadkhan Aliyev, Honored artist, doctor of philosophy in art studies, professor, creative personality with exceptional services in the development of our contemporary art studies turns 75 years old.

Ziyadkhan Aliyev, who has been engaged in scientific creativity for more than 40 years, is the author of numerous scientific articles published in the local and international press. He entered the field of art studies while still a student with his first article entitled "Architectural monuments of Shamakhi" published in "Literature and Art" newspaper.

The role of Ziyadkhan Aliyev in the recognition of the majority of representatives of contemporary Azerbaijani fine art operating in Azerbaijan and abroad is great. As his first success, we can mention that on July 5, 1989, he organized an exhibition called "My dear Motherland is good..." for the first time in the republic at the current Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, consisting of the works of Azerbaijani artists living outside the borders of our country. It was literally a great historical event in Azerbaijani art. At the same time, Ziyadkhan Aliyev is the author of several books on decorative and applied art, written in his own handwriting, in addition to fine art.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the staff of the National Library of Azerbaijan prepared a virtual exhibition called "Ziyadkhan Aliyev-75" and a traditional exhibition of the same name.

In the virtual exhibition, Ziyadkhan Aliyev's photos, articles, author and editor, books about which he wrote the foreword, and articles about him are displayed in the traditional exhibition, which are preserved in the collection of the National Library.
