Today, great intellectual, Honored teacher, professor Adiba Pashayeva turns 80 years old.

Adiba Mir Jalal gizi Pashayeva was born on July 18, 1943 in Baku. In 1960-65, he studied at Azerbaijan State University (now BSU). After graduating her higher education, Mrs. Adiba started working at Baku State University. She worked as a teacher, head teacher of the Russian literature department, head of the Russian language department for foreign students. Since 2004, A.Pashayeva, who has been the head of the Russian language department of humanitarian faculties at BSU, has been an associate professor of that department since 2005, and a substitute professor since 2017. A. Pashayeva, who studies linguistic didactics and the history of Russian literature, is the author of many books and textbooks. Currently, she continues to work as the head of the Department of History of Russian Literature of BSU.

Adiba Pashayeva was awarded the "Progress" medal, "Advanced Education Worker" and "Honored Teacher" honorary titles.

On the occasion of the anniversary, a virtual exhibition called "Professor Adiba Pashayeva" was prepared by the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan. The virtual exhibition displays photos, books and articles about Adiba Pashayeva, books in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, authored, compiled and edited by her.
