As it is known, at the beginning of April 2016, the front-line positions and residential areas of Azerbaijan were subjected to intensive artillery fire by the Armenian armed forces, and the units of our army prevented provocations with a counter-attack. In the four-day war, which went down in history as the April battles, our heroic soldiers, ensigns and officers dealt heavy blows to the invading Armenian army and freed more than 2,000 hectares of territory from occupation.

Some positions were liberated from the enemy in the heights around Talish village of Tarter region, Lalatape height of Jabrayil region and Jojug Marjanli, Gulustan village of Goranboy region and Madagiz village of Tarter region.

The people of Azerbaijan have never come to terms with the occupation.

In the 44-day Second Karabakh War, the victorious Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev ended the 30-year occupation and the territorial integrity of our country was restored.
