March 10 is National Theater Day. The creation of the national theater in Azerbaijan in the 1970s was a great event in the history of our culture. On March 10, 1873, the theater lovers' troupe of the Baku real school performed M.F. Akhundzade's comedy "Sarguzeshti-vaziri-khan Lankaran". H. Zardabi and N. Vazirov played an important role in this honorable work. With this, the foundation of our professional national theater, in other words, Academic National Drama Theater was laid.

According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 1, 2013 on the establishment of "National Theater Day", March 10 is celebrated as "National Theater Day" in our country.

In this regard, the employees of the National Library of Azerbaijan prepared a virtual exhibition called "March 10 - National Theater Day" and a traditional book exhibition called "Academic National Drama Theater - 150".
