Within the framework of the 36th International Istanbul Book Fair, there was held the presentation of Azerbaijan literature samples that translated into Turkish and published in the fraternal country, on November 5, at TUYAP exhibition center, Istanbul. The Member of Parliament, academician Nizami Jafarov, director of Azerbaijan National Library prof. Karim Tahirov, Secretary of Azerbaijan Writers’ Union Rashad Majid, interpreter Yursevan Shan and others made speeches in the presentation organized in our national pavilion by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was mentioned that the works published in Turkish by Sevinj Firat Zengin Publishing are of great importance in promoting Azerbaijani literature in Turkey. It should be noted that within the framework of the project based on the agreement between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Sevinj Firat Zengin Publishing in 2016, 8 works of the eminent writers and poets of the Azerbaijani literature had been published in Turkish during the year in total. The list includes: “Bir gəncin manifesti (Manifest of a young man)” by Mir Jalal Pashayev, “Qan içində (İki od arasında), (“In blood”, also known as “Between Two Fires”)” by Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli, “Danabaş kəndinin əhvalatları (Stories from the village of Danabash )” by Jalil Mamadguluzadeh, “Qətl günü (Day of Murder)” by Yusif Samadoglu, “Qarlı aşırım (Snowy pass)” by Farman Karimzadeh and stories of Abdurrahim bay Hagverdiyev that consisting of two-volumes. Currently, “Poetic features of Fuzuli” which is written about the great Azerbaijani poet Mohammad Fuzuli by the writer and literary critic Mir Jalal Pashayev is translated into Turkish. The book is also intended to be used as a textbook in a number of high education institutions.
