This month marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of Bakhtiyar Sadigov, Member of Parliament, Editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Azerbaijan”, and Honored journalist. As a journalist and editor-in-chief, Bakhtiyar Sadigov played a special role in informing the public about the history of Azerbaijan, especially about the events of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, as well as about the injustices and tragedies that our people faced at that time. Statehood, patriotism, national and moral values, international global problems and social issues were among the topics he often touched upon. Bakhtiyar Sadigov's journalism is distinguished by its relevance, modernity and patriotism.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Bakhtiyar Sadigov, the staff of the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F.Akhundzadeh prepared a virtual exhibition entitled "Bakhtiyar Sadigov - 70". The virtual exhibition features books and articles by Bakhtiyar Sadigov, as well as articles, official document and photographs about his life and work.
