The 38th CENL Annual Meeting, hosted by the National Library of Poland, continued its work on June 18.
At the meeting, Tomasz Makowski, Director General of the National Library of Poland, made a presentation on “National Libraries as National Network Coordinators”.
Elena Pintilei, Director General of the National Library of Moldova, made a presentation on “Stronger Professional Networks for Building Social Resilience and Peace”, Ophelie Ramonatxo, Head of the International Relations Department of the National Library of France, made a presentation on “Robotic Security Sites” training days, and David Rozsa, Director General of the National Library of the Secheni Region, made a presentation on “Improving the Web Archive Infrastructure of the National Library of the Secheni Region and the National Library of Luxembourg”.
The 2023 EKN Grantees Report was heard.
Roly Keating, Director General of the British National Library, made a presentation on “Lessons from Cyberattacks”.
Then, the meeting continued with discussions on artificial intelligence, equality, diversity and inclusive network groups in libraries.
Finally, the Director of the National Library of Azerbaijan, Prof. Karim Tahirov, made a speech and thanked the Director General of the Poland National Library, Tomasz Makowski, for organizing the event at a high level and presented the books “Salam Azerbaijan”, “National Library of Azerbaijan”, “Azerbaijani Carpets in World Collections”, as well as a map of Azerbaijan to the fund of the Poland National Library. At the same time, the Director invited Tomasz Makowski to participate in the 10th Baku International Book Fair to be held in Baku in October with an exposition.
The conference will be hosted by the National Library of Scotland next year.
