2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the National Library of Azerbaijan.

The National Library of Azerbaijan, which has passed an honorable path since its establishment, has always successfully coped with the tasks set before it, played an important role as a base in increasing the intellectual potential of the society during the past period, and regularly replenishes its literary funds, which exceed millions, with national and world important publications, rare books, new ones. It has become a cultural treasure of our people by enriching it with printed products and valuable information carriers.

Today, the National Library, located in a magnificent building with a unique architectural style, expands its scope of activity and carries out a series of measures in the direction of reliable protection of national-spiritual wealth and its transmission to future generations. The National Library, which constantly improves its work at the level of the requirements of the time by applying advanced technologies, is currently successfully developing mutual cooperation relations with world libraries.

Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, taking into account its role in the cultural and social life of the country and its contributions to library work, to ensure the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Library of Azerbaijan I hereby order:

1. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan should prepare and implement a plan of events related to the 100th anniversary of the National Library of Azerbaijan.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan should resolve the issues arising from this Order.
