On February 28, within the framework of the EU4Dialog project, an online meeting was held between the National Library of Azerbaijan and the National Library of Latvia. The online meeting was organized in connection with the discussion of a project related to the restoration of cultural institutions and libraries in Karabakh. Two directions of the proposed project were presented to the attention of the meeting participants. The first direction is the practical side of the project and will last 3-4 weeks. At this time, it is planned to invite 2 specialists who will take part in organizing the libraries of Karabakh. The second direction is called summer school. The summer school, which will be held with the participation of 20 specialists, is designed for 7-8 days.

During the meeting, it was noted that such projects can be considered a significant support for the restoration of libraries in our territories liberated from occupation. It should be noted that more than 100,000 books have been collected in the National Library of Azerbaijan at present within the framework of the “Let's go to Karabakh with a book” project. First of all, it is planned to build libraries in the village of Zangilana Agali and the city of Shusha.

During the online meeting, a slide in English prepared by the National Library of Azerbaijan on the topic “The current state of Azerbaijani libraries in areas liberated from Armenian occupation” was demonstrated.
